Project Description
720MW Thermoelectric plant composed of two boilers of approximately 12.000 tons of steel structures, turbines, large scale generators, desulfurization systems and a seaport for the coal delivery.
Emasa Engineering performed the complete definition of the erection strategy of the two boiler units, with viability studies and engineering projects for the modularization of steel structures (aiming schedule reduction through parallelism and safety improvement).
The strategy, based on the opening of access to the boiler cavity by one of the sides along with the modularization of large volumes of steel structure, allowed the client to keep up with the erection schedule, even with the intrinsic difficulty of access due to confined erection for the installation of members at higher elevations.
Beyond the constructability works, we also conducted procedures for the procurement of heavy load movement contractor, structural verifications, quality control of engineering and rigging plans.
