Rio de Janeiro - BRAZIL
Project Description
Emasa Engineering was hired to analyse the design, calculations and execution of the steel structure’s connections for the roofing of the stadium and of the elements installed for the recovery.
The structure has 36000m2 of area and an atypical structural system composed of a large quantity of elements. Works were also performed closely to the general verification of the project and its global stability, aiming to, in conjunction with the field inspections, identify hidden structural deficiencies along the recovery process.
This was a work of great complexity due to the large number of connections and all the difficulties natural to any recovery work.
